Strange bedfellows: Andy Peacher interviews Kevin Felstead

If one were to imagine the least likely interviewee for Hampstead hoax promoter Andy Peacher’s “Freedom Talk Radio” internet radio programme, we suspect it would have to be Dr Kevin Felstead, brother of Carol Felstead and head of the British False Memory Society (BFMS).

Carol, as many will know, was an early victim of “recovered memory therapy” with Valerie Sinason, and would later become a patient of Dr Fleur Fisher, ex-Head of Ethics of the British Medical Association. [Insert irony emoticon here—Ed.]

During her “treatment”, Carol came to believe that her family had sexually abused her, and that they had done so as part of a Satanic cult. Following Carol’s death, the Felstead family has had to fight a seemingly endless legal battle to find justice for their daughter and sister.

To say that Dr Felstead takes a dim view of the SRA myth would be an understatement; and listening to his interview with Andy felt slightly surreal. While Andy has recently left the board of the “Fresh Start Foundation” in Scotland, he’s shown no signs of abandoning his belief in SRA…or has he?

Oddly, Andy seemed quite receptive to Dr Felstead’s story of how his family suffered at the loss of Carol, both during her life as she cut herself off from them, and after her death, when Dr Fisher’s behaviour became at first bewildering, and then infuriating.

Responding to Dr Felstead’s comments about the ridiculous nature of “recovered memory therapy”, which uses hypnosis, Andy told the story of how his own wife had received some sort of “creative visualisation” treatment using a form of hypnosis, and had not only failed to benefit, but had found her mental health worsening dramatically.

Of course Hampstead came up…

At about the 54-minute mark in the interview, Andy turned the topic to the Hampstead SRA hoax. In a rare moment of candour, he noted that in their attempts to spread the hoax, “people get over-excited and say things they shouldn’t”, and that “a lot of campaigners jump in at the deep end”, with “some going in and out of prison to get their point across”. Ultimately, though, he said he continues to believe what the children said in their initial videos, rather than what they said during their retractions.

Dr Felstead took issue, saying he believes that the children were bullied and manipulated by the mother’s boyfriend, that cannabis had been involved in extracting their allegations, and that while the videos might look compelling, “children are suggestible, they sometimes want to please  their questioner”.

Stating, “I can’t reveal sources, but…” Andy trotted out the old tropes: he claims that RD knew the accused schoolteachers, that he used to make porn films, and that “there is a suggestion that they used the children in a snuff movie”. [Gosh, wonder who told him this? —Ed.]

The evidence for all this, Andy said, is that RD “started a blog called Hoaxtead Research“.

Dr Felstead stated he doesn’t believe Andy’s version, and emphasised the need for an evidence-based approach. [Good luck with that—Ed.]

It was a curious thing, listening to this interview. We had to ask ourselves whether Dr Felstead went into it knowing the past history of his interviewer, and if so, whether he had perhaps decided to hold his nose and attempt to address the conspiracy community in hopes that they would understand and sympathise with his family’s story. It’s hard to blame him, given the horrifying situation his family is in.

Andy took a surprisingly low-key approach, empathising with Dr Felstead’s story and seeming to understand the dangers posed by therapists who use recovered memory techniques to manipulate the minds of their patients.

  1. Poor Dr Felstead having to listen Andy Peacher’s skewed narrative of the Hampstead case. Well done to him for trying to set matters straight regarding it too.
Thanks for the link to the interview, which I’ll have to listen to tomorrow when I have more time.

  2. Dr Felstead seems like an intelligent and forthright man to me. Maybe he has planted a few seeds of common sense, but I won’t hold my breath.

    • Sadly, I think it’s more likely that Andy didn’t want to offend by stating the full insanity of what he really believes. He did cite Wilfred Wong quite admiringly at one point, always a bad sign.

  3. I once heard Andy Peacher talk about Judge Pauffley in a very positive way after he witnessed her analysis in another case, as he knew the mother. Peacher commended Pauffley on her fairness. He was speaking to Neelu during a live broadcast I happened to tune into (LOL). I tried to download the episode afterwards but it was not available and Neelu blanked me when I asked her for the link via fb…..

    • I don’t know if this is the one but it’s a very revealing set of interviews and it was the one that first alerted us to Ray Savage’s us of water dowsing readings to “prove” people’s guilt:

PS: Preacher also incorrectly describes Savage as “a serving police detective”.

The only way Ray Savage could ever be described as ‘serving police detective’ is if he brought one a coffee from the machine in-between mucking out the cells and emptying the waste paper bins!

  4. Preacher is part of the problem and nothing good will come of this interview. I think Dr Felstead as an intelligent man has made the mistake of believing these “truther” nutters can be reasoned with. Easy to do.

One of the great disappointments for me with the abandonment of Leveson 2 was Mr Leveson’s well thought out plan to have a “libel tribunal” which could be accessed by the “common man” as at present it’s one aspect of law reserved for the wealthy.
If dills like Preacher could be hauled into a tribunal for the outrageous libels that drip off their tongue life would be much fairer. Personally I think there should be a law of Criminal Libel with tough penalties like a jail sentence.

    • I agree, though I am also aware that our prisons are massively overcrowded as it is. Given what I’ve seen of the Hampstead mob, I’m afraid my belief in “deterrence” is growing more limited by the day.

      • Prime example here : MKDs sent it to me, I don’t check his channels; same script, different day JP is gonna slay the somethings and them too 🙂 Timewaster and aggrevator, so cos YouTube hasn’t taken down his channels, he thinks he’s above the law ?

        • So he’s been to prison again, I think and still his case and only his case, like the hollie hoax and the hampstead hoax are all the ones that are going to change everything, what a super hero he thinks people seem him as….but no one cares….. but why are his channels still up, then ? Hasn’t he sent enough malicious comms yet ?….. I do understand that feeling, I think it’s common amongst those of us that have either experienced abuse or feel as if we have the answers, it shouldn’t last long with the right people, like I was lucky enough to have around, to shoot me down in flames when I thought my way was THE way…….. it should be a short phase in the healing process, but it obviously is a trap for some.

          • Is that not an old video that’s been re-uploaded? He’d definitely been out and about in the previous few weeks (see his 3 RCJ videos made during that time) but he had done time for malicious communications in the past.

Willing to be corrected on this if anyone has any other info’.

          • The thing that’s niggling me about the Paterson thing is that he was posting comments and making videos during the time he was supposedly in jail. Is MKD just going by the video above or does he have other info?

            • It could easily be Just John supplying new exciting drama, he thinks to his saga, I just havn’t got time yet to check, pinch of salt at the mo, cept it’s a 2nd jail term, I’m told, I can’t remember what that should even mean, with regards John. I don’t remember seeing that rat before on his head, hat I meant 🙂

        • Poor old Patterson and his “ex-RAF Gordon Bowden’s Finchley Road frauds”- there is a belief with This Mob © that if you were in the armed forces or are an ex-copper it gives you more credence than say, well a High Court judge.
The sad fact is the Finchley Road shop is an Accommodation address similar to dozens all over London where one can pay a small amount to base your company there, receive mail etc etc and it’s still operating. How they came to believe $Billions had been siphoned off through there is a real mystery. Perhaps they’ve never heard of The Caymans, Switzerland, Jersey and so on. Not the most sophisticated bunch.

    • Not many will be prepared to follow their leader Sabines path to jail, but if they are, then, a pox on them….They chose to ignore and flout the law and not just that, but the waste of time, energy, money, resources, caused between the various groups fighting for so called justice, achieving nothing good, but claiming to and yelling abuse and the P word at anyone who dares to tell them they are doing it wrong, or they are wrong. Andy usually just giggles and is lost for words, sighs and then finds a flacid sentence, but I do know that he is deeply angry that as he sees it, his children were taken wrongly, he and his wife clearly have difficulties and from being online, he has like many, been groomed……… I said it a few times in the past, these people have provided for an outlet and given attention to people in need, Andy is probably told that GCHQ or the fairies or demons are interfering with his radio show and that he really gets thousands of listeners……….. He obviously feels important and is probably helped to book the halls etc for events, and they clearly have teams running for Brian Gerrish and Belinda McKenzie etc to have the gigs looking good for the illusion creating videos, then those at home click away and share, share, share and feel like heroes, as the email addy’s and £££s start rolling in, for those higher up in their pyramid………. those who act like the shepherds with their whistles, calling the sheep to get clicking away and given them carte blanche to go on the attack at anyone they think is that thing they are now terrified of or terrified of being…..
Anyway, still very few follow through either with threats or promises of preparing to do jail time.
Didn’t Angie say she put her life on the line for ever, when Belinda refused to speak of it further cos she wasn’t going to breach her restraining order…. ? Why would any one do that for what she knows is a lie ?
It’s going to be keep them off the internet one way or another, unless they stop……there are though, those that can, opportunities for being trained and working with security in tech, I hope that grows, and from what I saw a lot of new information and know how was being shown to police via them…..which is helping things to improve….. I think they are….. I think Kevin Felstead will have been approaced and targeted perhaps by one of the bigger channels, of course he wants his story out……It’s hard to believe it’s gone on so long, for him… If he needs the story highlighted, he needs to go via better people. …….

      • A blast from the past 🙂 This was just before Belinda’s Goodbye Uk video when she skipped off for a holiday to France. Meanwhile her Knights Foundation charity was funding Sabines’ holiday which they called exile, like Angie is calling her comfortable and owned outright home in Ireland…….. as she pretends to now be some kind of Wise Woman at a Well…… I would imagine many will be horrified thinking of some beautiful and honoured, sacred wells around our country.
Angie posted this on her wall late one night, given how vile she had been to me during our first engagements on facebook, I was taking a look at her, as you do….. They both cast the first stone………well they all did, didn’t they ..when they began this hoax. It occured to me, that had the plan worked and they had gone to Morocco, the next day, after kickstarting the hoax, I wondered if then, Abe would have been arrested sooner, but in no way would I want the children to have been left with Abe and Ella, for a minute longer. Angie was showing red flags immediately by dismissing Abes abuse as minor, then as the way to get them to confess and free them of their mind control……if any mind control went on of them, it was in Morocco and inspired by the likes of the Dr that did that to Carol Felstead……. There are some SRA promoting psychiatrists amongst those that have judged survivors of CSA as unfit parents, too…. There’s one of the rubs and causes of the mess.

If Facebook don’t take these two comments down, something’s very wrong:

I’d put money down on that those posts ‘dont breach facebook community standards’ from prior experience, facebooks ‘community standards’ are pretty bloody low….

In fact I seriously doubt that a video of a sheep shagger doing it naked in the main street in front of a yard of schoolkids would actually get dinged as in breach of farcebooks alleged ‘community standards’….

(ok maybe I am a bit battleweary and feeling disillusioned)

      Nah…

I still think that it wouldnt get pinged…..

      😦

      • After all farcebook is quite happy to host multiple videos of an eight year old boy sitting on a bed in his underpants talking about having anal sex with hundreds of adults before indulging in cannibalism…

A mere bit of sheep shaggin wouldnt even be a blip on their radar…

Now if it was anything serious they would spring right into action……

        NOT…

        • Yeah, the people who post those videos of the children can’t possibly care about children at all. No matter what they say.

What makes them think it’s ok for them to post videos of someone else’s child, sitting in their underwear, talking about sex? Would they want their own child plastered all over the net like that? I very much doubt it.

          Liked by 1 person

          • What gets me irritated is that farcebook seems to have no issues at all in letting posts that are imho, full on child porn stay up….
I mean, seriously, what else can you describe that video being shown to the public as?
It was never meant to be released to the public in the first place, nor were the ABE interviews
A certain party released it illegally (who was it again??? lol ), and every single person who reposts it is also posting an illegally obtained video, and in breach of a court order suppressing the children’s names

The fact that these ‘people’ (and I use that term very loosely indeed) think that putting up that video is ok, says quite a lot about their thinking (and morals)
Despite many of them claiming the ‘religion’ card as being the moral high ground, their deeds show far more than their words where their true inclinations are

The true facts are known and well reported, anyone who continues to promote this is supporting the abuse of children

These are not ‘good’ people, nor are they good christians, these are alledged ‘people’/ scum willing to peddle Abe’s kiddie porn to the world, just for their own gratification and grandeur…

            Sick, Sad and Delusional….

  5. Kevin Felstead is a highly skilled martial artist. Like any martial artist or military strategist he understands that storming the front gates is not always the best way to win a battle. I believe that he was hoping that by using his very extensive knowledge of false memories and the satanic panic and a softly-softly approach that he might be able to go some way towards helping Peacher to reach a more rational, evidence based perspective.

I personally also believe that directly confronting deluded people with evidence of the irrational nature of their delusions never works. Telling someone who is in a cult that they are in a cult will never result in them doing anything other than digging their heels further in and retreating further into the cult’s slimy embrace.

I personally do not think it is very likely that Kevin was able to change Peacher’s mind completely but he may have sown a few seeds of doubt.

Given all that he and his family have endured over the years nobody could blame Kevin for at least trying to help Peacher see the error of his ways. I certainly do not believe that Kevin should be tarnished by association for simply having a go at trying to help someone and to educate people about the satanic panic. I think it is much more likely that, due to his background in martial arts and his high intelligence and level of knowledge about the issues, that Kevin felt unafraid to at least give the interview a go to see what may and may not be possible.

I’m posting this having given a lot of thought to the issue of the recent post about Marie Black’s conviction and some of the extremely concerning issues surrounding it.

Also, I cannot give exact details, but I have cultured associations with conspiratards and new agers in the past, simply to try to understand what makes them tick, to learn about their political and cultural influences and to educate myself about their grifts. There may even be photos of me alongside such people somewhere. We should definitely be careful about judging people by the company they keep or have kept in the past, especially when dealing with issues as complex, sensitive and serious as this.
