On Tuesday we reported that Belinda McKenzie had helped to fund the escape of a Zimbabwean teen and his mother who had sought asylum at their country’s London embassy. The teen had been the subject of a protection order, and had bolted from the Royal Courts of Justice immediately prior to his hearing.
A few weeks back, we reported that Belinda McKenzie had involved herself in the case of a young teenager from Zimbabwe. Because there is an injunction in place against naming the boy or his mother, we realised that we could be in violation, and removed the posts a few days after we’d put them up.
Over the weekend, we noted that legal experts Sarah Phillimore, Giles Peaker (@NearlyLegal on Twitter), and Julie Doughty had taken Sabine and Belinda’s legal guru, John Hemming, to task about his strange and incorrect beliefs in a rollicking Twitter conversation.
